The Studio
Wildling Studios is a creative practice offering branding, web design, visual direction, and photography for thoughtful, aesthetically driven brands in the wellness and lifestyle realms.
Based on Vancouver Island and led by me, Emily Johnson, Wildling Studios provides branding, web, and photography services to clinics, wellness practitioners, therapists, and lifestyle brands—supporting projects from early-stage foundations through thoughtful evolutions of established businesses.
Many of my clients find me during moments of transition: growth, refinement, or re-alignment. As your designer and creative collaborator, my role is often as much about listening, discerning, and distilling as it is about actual design execution.
With a background in psychology and a long-standing interest in how our inner worlds shape the way we show up in our work, my approach to design is considered, collaborative, intuitive, and strategic.
Sustainability
Building things that are solutions for “right now” is not what I’m about. Together we’re solving the problems of right now, yes, but the goal is always to find solutions that are spacious enough to offer room to grow, evolve, change and pivot without massive restructuring and rebuilding a few years down the road. We’re humans running businesses—our growth and need for change is inevitable, but having to rebuild every time we pivot or learn something new is not sustainable.

Guiding Values
Comfort
Comfort creates the conditions for meaningful change. When people feel at ease being themselves, they’re more open to exploring what’s next. Here, we honour both the stretch into (sometimes) uncomfortable growth and the steady presence that makes it feel possible.
Empowerment
It’s imperative that everyone I work with feels capable of doing things on their own. I’m always here to help and can swoop in to help carry a load or work some speedy magic, but ensuring you feel like you have all the tools you need to move forward on your own — be it with brand elements or a website — is of the utmost importance to me.
Thoughtfulness
To me, being thoughtful means considering what makes people feel loved, cared for and seen. Yes, this is a business but it’s a human-first business. Feelings matter here and taking the time and putting in the energy to make sure clients and collaborators feel valued and safe is essential.

Wildling Studios works best with clients who value depth, clarity, and collaboration and those who are open to a thoughtful, considered process.
If that resonates (or even just ignites some curiosity) I’d love to hear from you.
